This is a block of the month quilt that started in early 2021...but that is the beauty of a block of the month quilt: it gives you an excuse for it take a while to complete! I love the fabric used for this pattern and sewing it always brought a smile to my face.

Because it is a smaller quilt, I wanted to try out using a double layer of batting and I love the results! The quilting really pops out and creates a delicious texture. I was worried any quilting would take away from the blocks, which are all hand pieced, but I think it complements them beautifully.
Pink Door Fabrics just started another round of a block of the month program from this pattern and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make this again. So look forward to another post in 2025 showing the results! 😬
